The name Clear River comes from three passages in God’s Word, Ezekiel 47:1-12 , Revelation 22:1-5
and John 7:38-39. In the first two of these there is a vision of a river flowing from God and bringing life and healing to all it touches.

Where the river flows, life abounds. – Ezekiel 47:9b

This is our heart’s desire! We want to be a life giving community. We can’t do that on our own. The river is something, or rather someone, that comes from God. In the passage from John, Jesus says:

“Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.” (John 7:38-39)

When Jesus spoke about living water, He was referring to God’s very presence that dwells in the hearts of every believer. He is the river and He intends for that living water to flow from our lives in life giving ways.

The journey begins when we say our first “yes” to God’s love.
